Jan has been in the hospitality business for over 30 years and has skied in the Alps his entire life. He is the Managing Director and a co-owner of Grinda Wardshus, a full-service island resort in Sweden’s Stockholm Archipelago, with a hotel, restaurant/bar, conference/corporate facilities, cabins, campground and marina.

A Swiss-Swedish dual national, Jan began his career as a winter tour guide and station manager in the Alps with a large Swedish tour operator. Jan and his brother Markus acquired Lodge Sax in 2014 with the vision of creating an intimate lodge-style ambience with a skiing-oriented focus. Jan and Annika have two boys, Hugo and Axel. The Pfisters discovered Disentis a few years ago and fell in love with the region.

George is a passionate, life-long skier whose more than 1,000 skiing days in the Alps have taken him to nearly every famous resort (and dozens of not-so-famous ones) in every country across the Alps, from France to Slovenia. A Canadian from Calgary, Alberta who grew up skiing in the Rocky Mountains, George’s magazine articles about skiing have appeared in dozens of publications in seven countries (mainly in Ski Canada magazine).

In addition to his journalism career, George has been a business owner for nearly 25 years. George has been skiing off-piste since he was 13 and has completed his Canadian Avalanche Association Level I Avalanche Operations (professional) course. George began skiing in Disentis more than a decade ago. He is committed to helping you have a memorable skiing experience in Disentis, Sedrun, Andermatt and the Surselva.
